Norfolk & Western
C-31P 518620
This caboose was built in
1969 by the International Car Company of Kent,
OH
for the Norfolk & Western
Railway.
The car was used in continuous service up until the time it was donated
to the
chapter in March of 1990 by Norfolk Southern Corporation. 518620 was
seen routinely on coal trains throughout the
N&W and
predecessor Norfolk
Southern
system. This was the first piece of rolling stock donated to the
chapter. The
caboose received a cosmetic restoration several years ago and is in
good
condition with a working gas stove.
Pennsylvania B-60B

Built
in 1928 by the
Pennsylvania Railway as number 9325 and was renumbered to 7533 when
Penn
Central acquired the car. The chapter received the car through a
donation made
by Conrail in late 1990, when the car was in storage at Wilmington,
DE.
Since the chapter has acquired
the car,
it has been through an ongoing restoration. Part of the restoration
included
the car being repainted from Penn Central Green, and restoration of the
interior. The car is now receiving work on the interior lighting and repairs to the diaphragm and side doors.

making frequent trips throughout the Seaboard system. The car was
semi-retired
and put up for sale before being donated to the chapter in March of
1990 by the
RF&P. 905 is in the process of a restoration, with a working

already
